It was another very hot day on Friday, September 4th as the Wagner Raiders Cross Country team headed to Sioux Falls for the Augustana Twilight race. This race is called “twilight” because it is a race that is run in the evening, however, this year, with the heat, the race really was run in twilight!

The Wagner Raiders continued their undefeated start Friday, September 4, shutting out Miller/ Highmore/Harrold 35-0 on their home field.Wagner controlled the game on both sides of the ball, using a strong rushing attack and a relentless defensive effort to secure its third victory of the season.

The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Plankinton oon Tuesday, September 1st to take on the Mount Vernon/Plankinton Titans. The Red Raiders dominated and swept the Titans in three straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-18.

The Wagner Lady Red Raiders hosted the Chamberlain Cubs on Thursday, September 3rd. The Red Raiders picked up another win with scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-16.Junior outside hitter Hannah Holzbauer led all hitters throwing down 17 kills, while Ravyn Medricky and Brianna Fuchs each had six.

The Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian (TDA/ACDC) Thunderhawks overcame a slow start with a dominant second half, scoring 36 unanswered points to defeat Burke 44-20 on Friday, Sept. 4.

BON HOMME 23 25 25 25AC/DC 7 14 7 AVON 25 25 25 -The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder volleyball team traveled to Tyndall on Tuesday, September 1, to take on the Bon Homme Cavaliers.The Thunder opened the match with a hard-fought 25-23 victory.

The Avon cross country team heads into the 2026 season with a good group of returning runners, along with several newcomers ready to see what they can accomplish this fall. Avon has nine runners out for cross country this season, with eight boys and one girl.
