Lions Club Bingo was held Friday, March 21 at the Avon Auxiliary Gym with a great turnout! All proceeds will benefit local organizations. Thanks everyone, for attending!

The public is invited to meet with us at the American Legion Hall in Menno, South Dakota on Sunday afternoon, March 30, at 2 o'clock. The Legion Hall is located at 301 South 4th Street which is one block west of Main Street in Menno. The Legion Hall is handicapped accessible.

From the Files of the Lake Andes Wave 10 YEARS AGO Andes Central held their annual Winter Awards Banquet. The event covered wrestling, basketball both boys and girls and cheerleading.

Andes Central FFAers had a great day at the FFA Lyman. The floriculture team finished 3rd. Our Livestock team finished 9th and our horse judging team finished 8th.

Kaylise Drappeau This week’s featured Andes Central senior is Kaylise Drappeau. Kaylise is the daughter of Les and Brad Drappeau. Kaylise is one of ten children and her brothers and sisters include Taylen, Tahni, Scarlette, Bradly, Justin, Dean, Tobias, Kamia and Dominique.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on March 20th, 2025 with 28 members in attendance. We had two guests, Bill Peters who is running for State Commander and is the current SD State Legion Membership chairman. Also in attendance was Steve Muller, District 8 Commander.

Jim “The Barber” Dresden has been a barber for well over 40 years, but has been a part of the Wagner Community barbering for the past 40 years.

Leah Insko of Leah Insko Photography was recently named to SeniorInspire magazine’s Top 100 Photographers to Follow in 2025. This was Leah’s first time entering a contest like this and entering on a whim the day of the deadline definitely paid off.

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary is proud to announce that Wagner’s Unit Member of the Year is Barb Kucera. Barb is a 25year member of the auxiliary. Barb’s eligibility for auxiliary membership comes from her husband, Bob, who is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
