Starting on November 4th, Town and Country Beauty Salon has a new stylist in its midst. Chantal Zephier, a fiveyear licensed cosmetologist, is joining the team.
The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) in conjunction with the Wagner American Legion and Sons of the American Legion hosted the Fall District 8 meeting on October 27th.
One of the oldest established churches in Charles-Mix County is the Greenwood Presbyterian Church. The town, now village of Greenwood, had opened a post office in 1859 with 1859 being the only date on record of the beginning of the town of Greenwood. The post-office remained in operation until 1965.
Wagner Rotary Club had a full house on Wednesday, November 6th. Harvest is over for the farmers, and we enjoyed seeing each other over a meal. President Weber gave a blessing for the food and fellowship. Judene Irvine was a guest of Amanda Bechen.
Pete Kazena is being honored as Wagner’s November Veteran of the Month. Kazena enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 26th of 1976 and after serving for three years was honorably discharged from service on August 29th of 1979.
Mission #22, the Clifford & LaVonne Graese Foundation Mission of the Midwest Honor Flight, departed from the Sioux Falls Regional Airport on October 8th filled with 85 Veterans, their guardians and the Midwest Honor Flight staff. On board of the Mission #22 flight was Wagner’s own Dennis Clemens.
