AC/DC students and the community will celebrate Homecoming Aug. 24-28 with a full week of dress-up days, activities, athletics and the annual Homecoming parade.This year's parade theme is “2000-2010 Comedy Movies.

September is Library Card Sign-up month. Library cards for children who attend Andes Central, even if they live outside the city limits, are available at no charge. Parents/guardians of children who attend Andes Central are also able to receive a card at no charge.

10 YEARS AGO2016Avon Chamber of Commerce held their Old-Fashioned Saturday Night. 2016 Bon Homme County Achievement Days was held. The finale was the Junior and Senior Round Robin Showmanship Contest followed by the Celebrity Round Robin.

The August Menno Pioneer Opry which is sponsored by the SoDak Stamm Chapter of the Germans from Russia will be held on Friday evening, August 14, at 7 p.m., in the Big Red Barn on the Menno Pioneer Acres site north of Menno. The program will feature musicians from southeastern South Dakota.
