Edward L. Kafka, Pierre, formerly of Dante, was born on December 21, 1929 in Charles Mix County to Frank and Clara (Hron) Kafka. He passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020 at Avera Mary House in Pierre attaining the age of 90.

Cora Juanita Hampton was born June 13, 2020, in Grangeville, Idaho to Kymm Gresset and Stephen Hampton. Cora weighed six pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. Proud grandparents are Juanita "Gail" Gresset of Lake Andes and Luan Miller of Wellston, OK.

Laurence J. Delvaux, Jr., 81, of Yankton, formerly of Pickstown passed away June 16 2020 at the Majestic Bluffs Hospice House in Yankton. Due to current health concerns, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Kay (Nohr) Van Patten was born March 24, 1949 in Wagner to Peter and Gwen (Cork) Nohr. She passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Rapid City. Interment took place June 22 at the Z.C.B.J. Cemetery in Wagner. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Private funeral services for Ronald Dean Bambas, 75, of Ravinia will be held Thursday, June 18 at 10 a.m., at the Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. The public may join in procession to the burial at the Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Geddes. Public visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

A private Funeral Mass for Helen L. Koupal, 94, of Wagner was held Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Dante. Helen Lillian Koupal, daughter of William and Lillian (Rothschadl) Bambas was born July 31, 1925 on a farm near Tyndall.

Norbert Everett Picotte, Cante Tanka, 91, of Chamberlain died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were held Friday, June 12 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery with military honors.

Ralph Ishmael, 21, of Mitchell, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Mitchell. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Private Memorial Services for Cheryl Ells will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. The public may join in procession for the burial at the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner, immediately following the Memorial Service, or meet at the cemetery at approximately 2 p.m.

Wake services for Joseph Howard, Jr., 30, of Wagner began Sunday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 2 at the Community Center. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood.
