Eva Ione (Irwin) Weaver entered her eternal home on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center in Lake Andes. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary/Wake service at 7 p.m., at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Lake Andes.

Wake Services for Teresa Whipple-Omaha, 64, of Lake Andes were Saturday, February 1 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. After the wake services, Teresa was cremated. Peters (Crosby-Jaeger) Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Mass for Carol Marilyn Ferguson, 84, of Tyndall was held at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tyndall on Thursday, January 30. Burial was in St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery in Tyndall. Peters (Crosby-Jaeger) Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wes Gunhammer, Jr., 30, of Fargo, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 27, 2020 in Fargo. Wesley Gordon Gunhammer, Jr. entered this world on January 31, 1989 in Sioux Falls, son of Wesley Gunhammer, Sr. and Anna Kane. He grew up in Sioux Falls but later found his home in Fargo.

Wake services for Robert (Bobby) Wayne Cournoyer will be held at the Wagner Armory on Tuesday, January 28 at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, in Marty on Thursday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. Burial service is at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Marty.

Funeral Mass for Charles (Chuck) Kocer, 64, of Wagner, was held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Monday, January 27. Burial was in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Wagner. Peters (Crosby-Jaeger) Funeral Home, Wagner, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial services for Joann Scholz age 75 of Midwest City, Oklahoma formerly of Bonesteel, will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 10:00 a.m., at St Joseph Catholic Church in Gregory. Burial will be at a later date. There is a Rosary service Friday night at 7 p.m.

Virginia Slusher (nee Engel) died peacefully on January 9th at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband Bill of Overland Park, KS, son William (Jeff Walkwitz) of KCMO, daughter Marti Lucero (Mike) and grandson Matthew of Austin. Virginia was born in Canova to Herbert and Mabel Engel.

Funeral service for Stephanie Red Buffalo, 54, of Flandreau was Saturday, January 18 at the YST South Housing Gym. Interment was at the Red Buffalo Family Cemetery, Choteau Creek, outside of Avon. Stephanie Faye Red Buffalo was born July 10, 1965, to Stephen Red Buffalo Sr.
