Jack Dean Mattis was born August 25, 1937 in Wagner to Jack and Bessie Mattis and went to heaven October 7, 2019.

Reverend J. Richard Jones III (Ret.), age 81, passed away peacefully August the 25th, 2019, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, Louisiana. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Jones, Jr.

Larry Dean Vogt, age 51, of Yankton,passed awayonFriday, September 20, 2019 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton with Reverend David Wildermuth officiating.

Richard Greger, 51, of Geddes Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 6 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Funeral services are 1 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Multipurpose Center in Geddes. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Amber Nelson, 41, of Lake Andes Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Monday, October 14, 2019 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Visitation is Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes, followed by a Prayer Service at 7 PM.

Suzanne Bartunek, 85, of Wagner Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner. Funeral services are 2 PM, Monday, October 14, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Juanita Moe, 88 of Sinai, died October 3, 2019 at her home in Sinai. Juanita Pierce was born at Bruce to Vernon and Rhoda (Rovig) Pierce. She had three brothers: Glenn, Roger and Vernon Jr. Juanita attended school in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1949.

Jimmy Anderson, son of Nels and Christine (Thompson) Anderson, was born June 27, 1945 in Wagner. He attended school in Ravinia. Jimmy enlisted in the US Army and served as an MP in the Vietnam War. On June 2, 1974, Jimmy was united in marriage with Jeanne Bucholz in Huron.

Funeral Mass for Richard “Dick” Kafka, 83, of Wagner were held Saturday, September 28 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Dante. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Private services are being held for Cheryl Cournoyer, 60, of Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Cheri Selwyn-Cournoyer was born in Wagner on January 22, 1959 to Delphine LaPlante-Selwyn and Henry G. Selwyn.
