Lake Andes – Geneva Marie Haar, 94, went to her heavenly home Sunday, June 23 at the Lake Andes Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 27 at 10:00 am at First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26 from 5 to 7 pm at Koehn Bros.

James W. “Jim” Haney, age 83, of Rapid City, died Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. James W. “Jim” Haney was born May 14, 1936, in Geddes, the only child born to James W. Haney, Sr. and Shirley (DeLong) Haney.

John Swensen, age 65 of Yankton, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yanktont. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7:00 p.m.

John Swensen, age 65 of Yankton, SD passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.  Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, SD with the Rev. Fr. Larry Regynski as Celebrant.

Edgar Goehring, age 96, of Sioux Falls was called to his heavenly home Thursday, May 23, 2019. He received loving care from staff of Avera Hospice and the Bethany Home in Sioux Falls following a brief illness.

Memorial services for Donald A. Novak, 92, of Wagner will be held Saturday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Rosary/ Wake services will be 7 p.m., Friday, June 7, at the church.

Joan Woods, 82, of Wagner    Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation is at the church on Friday from 5 to 7 PM, followed by a Scripture Wake/Rosary at 7 PM.

Services for Kenneth Sorenson, 77, of Lake Andes were held Thursday, May 23 at the East Lake Andes Lutheran Church, rural Armour. Burial was in the church cemetery. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
