Steve G. Winter, 71, went to his heavenly home Monday, November 4 at Lake Andes Healthcare Center. Memorial service will be Saturday, November 16 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

VIOLA HARE-PICOTTE

father Butch Picotte; siblings Hillary and Sunnie; and her son Brayton Hare. Viola was preceded in death by her mother Mary-Ann Hare, older brother Lionel Hare, Sr., and uncle Leonard Hare Jr. Viola died Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, WY.

Funeral services for Thomas John Pelton, 38, of Avon were held Friday, October 18 at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon. A private burial followed at the Trinity Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Avon. Peters Funeral Chapel in Avon was in charge of arrangements.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Newell Engel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on October 2, 2024, due to a heart attack. Born to Margaret (Peggy) Carpenter and William Engel in Lake Andes.

Leora Walsh, age 94, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at her home in Ortonville. Funeral services for Leora Walsh were held Friday, September 27, at the United Congregational Church in Ortonville, MN.

A Celebration of Life for Peggy Haenfler, 62, of Avon Life was held Monday, October 14 at Zion Lutheran Church in Avon. Peters Funeral Chapel of Avon was in charge of arrangements.

JOANNE BRYAN (1934-2004)

went to work as a ranch hand in the White River area. Their first child, Brenda Lea was born followed a year later by Bradley Eric. Charles opted to return to college and complete hisdegree,sothefamilymoved to Springfield. M. Christine and D. Corinn were born during this time.

LEE BRIDGE

Lee Bridge (1941-2024), 83, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 peacefully in his sleep at his home in Wagner, SD. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner with a luncheon to follow.

WAYNE WENDT

Wayne William Wendt was born June 17, 1949 in Lynch, Nebraska to Vernon and Mary Lou (Soukup) Wendt. He grew up near Gross, Nebraska and was in the last eighth grade class to attend the Gross school. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spencer with his family.

RUSSELL HUBBELING

went to live with his mom and step-father Leo O’Connor in Eagle Butte, where he worked as a security guard at the cultural center. Russell is survived by his daughter Chrystal N. Yazzie and five grandchildren: Alric Jr., Dsamon, Deven, Lolita and Kane.
