Charles 'Chuck' Vernon World Turner, a member of the Hunkpati & Ihanktonwan Dakota, passed away July 9th, 2024, near his residence in Wagner. Born on January 16th, 1963, in Yankton, to Mildred Jones and Kenneth World Turner Sr.

Lori Gerken, 61, of Wagner was born June 17, 1963 to Harold and Betty Serles in Sioux Falls. She died Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. A Celebration of Lori’s Life will be held at a later date.

Funeral Services for Betty Mudder, 89, of Freeman, were held Saturday, July 6th at First Baptist Church of Avon. Walter's Funeral Home in Freeman was in charge of arrangements. Betty Marlene Mudder was born January 10, 1935 to Herbert and Christena Boepple.

Franklin R. Stork, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dante on January 7, 1938, the son of W.A. “Fred” Stork and Irene (Cihak) Stork. He graduated from Wagner High School in 1956.

Memorial services for Judy M. Lulf, 78, of Chamberlain was Monday, July 8, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chamberlain. Judy Marie Lulf (nee Kuhlman), born on August 1, 1945, in Wagner, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Funeral services for Patricia Lynn Rouse, 58, of Wagner were held Wednesday, June 26 at Marty Community Center. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Loraine R. Thaler, age 91 of Yankton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton. Funeral services were held Monday, July 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Yankton, with Rev. Jacob Bobby officiating.

Janice D. (Ishmael) Fisk departed to her eternal home June 25, 2024. Janice (Jan) was born March 30, 1939, in Wagner to Ida (Sorenson) and Edward Ishmael. Jan grew up in Wagner and attended school there.

Funeral services for Pam S. Carda, 66, of Dante were held Saturday, June 8 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Loraine Thaler, age 91 of Yankton, passed away later Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton. Funeral services will be Monday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Yankton with Rev. Jacob Bobby officiating.
