Obituaries

Daniel E. Koupal was born on February 13, 1921, on the family farm in Charles Mix County to V.J. and Anastasia Koupal. He was educated in the Dante area schools and entered the United States Army at the age of 21. He served three and a half years which included time in World War II.

Glen Raymond Huggins, age 96, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022, at the Platte Hospital surrounded by family while under Hospice Care. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 13 at St. Ann’s Catholic Churchfrom 2-4 p.m. Rosary will begin at 4 p.m. with Scripture Readings at 4:30 p.m.

Funeral services for Guriene McGuire, 94, of Wagner will be Thursday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Clifford H. Bridge, age 92, of Yankton died on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 2 at Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton with Reverend Steve Hammer and Reverend Errin Mulberry officiating.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Carol L. Kaberna, 79, of Wagner, will be Thursday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner, with burial in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Peters Funeral Home in Wagner.

Memorial services for Marlene Skorpik, 89, of Wagner were held Tuesday, November 1 at The Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial is in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Dante. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Katherine L. Andersh, 89, of Wagner were held Monday, October 24 at St John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to your favorite charity.

No local services will be held for Roger Roubideaux. Memori-al services will be held at a later date in Nevada. Roger Roubideaux was born on December 25, 1944 to Robert Roubideaux and Anne Scissons- Roubideaux.

Puddy died Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home in Wagner under hospice care, surrounded by his family. Funeral services were 10:30 AM, Monday, October 17, 2022 at the National Guard Armory in Wagner, with mili-tary honors. Wake services were at 7 PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Armory.
