A Celebration of life for Janice Sternhagen, 78, of Avon was held Saturday, September 10 at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon, with Pastor Lorney Van Gerpen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Trinity Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Avon.

Funeral services for Paula Tuttle, 62, of Wagner were held Wednesday, September 7 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Dakotah LeRoy Mendez, 30, of Sioux Falls were Thursday, September 1 at the YST Community Gym in Wagner. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Roger is survived by his wife, Betsy (Hodgson) Wiltz, his daughters, Laurie (Fisher), Lisa (Ladson) and LuAnn (Shay); grandchildren Hannah and Madison Fisher, Nichela Ladson, and Sam, Grace, and Gaby Shay; his brother Mike; several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass for John Harmon, 84, of Wagner was held Friday, September 2 at St John Catholic Church in Wagner. Internment was in St John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial visition for Helen “Welfl” Wynia will be held Saturday, September 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Services in Oakland. Interment will be at a later date in Springfield. Helen “Welfl” Wynia was born May 2, 1928, to George and Helen (Fegenbush) Warrington in Springfield.

Shari Ranae Boetel, 76, of Lake Andes, went to her heavenly home on August 21, 2022, where her beloved son Jamie awaited her. She died at home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Visitation is Thursday, August 25 at 5:30 p.m., at St.

John Harmon, 84, of Wagner died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St John Catholic Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be in St John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors.

Mary Ann Ridgway, 86, of Brandon (formerly of Wagner), passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. A funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Marty.

A private Funeral Mass for Daniel Clarence Buus was held Friday, August 26 at St John Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial was in St John’s Catholic Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of local arrangements.
