Right now in the Senate, we are spending many hours each day listening to arguments about the impeachment of President Trump. It’s a historic time in our country. Once the trial is finished, I plan to write a weekly column sharing my thoughts on the impeachment process.

NEWS From The Legislature It is hard to believe we are already through the second week of session. The committees have started getting through the bills that have been assigned to them and either killing them or sending them to the floor.

South Dakota Agriculture Secretary Kim Vanneman presented the annual review of the department to the Senate agriculture. She talked about what has happened during 2019 and what the goals for the department are going forward.

NEWS From The Legislature The legislative session is flying by and I can hardly believe that we are finished with the first 2 weeks already. This past week was filled with many committees beginning bill work full time and a lot of my time has been focused on drafting legislation for this session.
