With the recent information coming out of Pierre about teacher salaries, I wanted to take the time to inform the Avon School District patrons of what our school board has done to increase teacher salaries.

ACDC 6 12 20 32 Cent. 5 16 29 42 Andes Central/ Dakota Christian hosted Centerville December 21st at Dakota Christian where they suffered the tough loss 32-42. Leading the scoring was Halle Olson and Josie Brouwer each with 10.

The Wagner boys basketball team played in Menno Tuesday night. The Raiders started off hot outscoring the Wolves 18-5 in the first period. Wagner was consistent in the first half, putting up 18 in the second quarter also and led 36-13 at the half.

The Wagner Boys Basketball Team took on Ethan on Thursday night at Wagner. The boys started off string leading 14-9 after the first period and 32-22 at the half. Ethan opened up the second half on a 5-0 run and eventually took a 41-36 lead into the fourth quarter.

Wagner Volleyball team held their postseason supper where postseason award winners were voted on by their teammates. Award winners are: Most Improved: Ravyn Medricky Hardest Worker: Macy Koupal Most Valuable Player: Ashlyn Koupal Congratulation ladies on a great season!

The volleyball season ended for the Wagner Red Raiders the 18th of November, but for senior, Macy Koupal, there was a bit more to be added to her season.

The Lady Raiders hosted the Ethan Rustlers last Thursday night in girls basketball action. Wagner started off quick again holding a 10-5 edge midway through the first period but Ethan converted twice from behind the arc to take a 11-10 lead.

Avon traveled to Centerville last week where they suffered the loss 49-59. No coach's report available at print time.

The Lady Pirates record is now 3-0 after their win over Corsica/Stickney 45-38. Leading the scoreboard was Courtney Sees with 16 points, Rilyn Thury had 8 and McKenna Kocmich added 7. Thury, Kocmich and Lila Vanderlei each had 7 rebounds. Sees had 4 assists and 6 steals on the night.
