American Legion baseball team and coaches were invited to the monthly meeting for supper in appreciation for their support and participation in the American Legion Baseball program.

As part of the annual Wagner Labor Day celebration, the beloved Festival in the Park was held on Sunday and Monday at Wagner Lake, bringing families and visitors together for two days of shopping, food and community spirit.

President Jamie Soukup called the meeting to order this past Wednesday. Scott Alderink led our group in a prayer before the meeting. Song leader Rachel Woods announced that we would sing “When the Saints Go Marching In.” We did not attempt the second verse!

Not too long ago, most people's local and statewide media choices were largely limited to three TV stations, a newspaper or two and a slew of radio stations offering a variety of programming. Recent developments in South Dakota illustrate the transitions happening in how people stay informed.

10 YEARS AGO 2015 Raymond and Bonnie Soukup were announced as the 2015 Labor Day Parade Marshals. Members of the 2015 Labor Day Committee were Miranda Medricky, Mavrick Hill, Ryan Beeson, Steve Cotton, Amanda Gross, Jordan Wunder, Samantha Dvorak, Tyler Cuka, and Taylor Mohr.

Farmers Pride Cooperative is turning heads with its latest expansion: the addition of two towering Behler 600,000-bushel grain bins, flanked by a highcapacity 20,000 bushel-perhour leg system.

10 YEARS AGO 2015 Guardsmen Brad Bierema, Justin Lukkes and Kenny Podzimek were deployed to Kuwait. Four new faces at Avon, James Stubkjaer, Jody Gittings, Kristine Cahoyy and Katelyn Koch. Gary and Diane Kriz celebrated their 30th anniversary.
