20 YEARS AGO 2005 Ft. Randall Casino celebrated the 12th Annual Indian Day Celebration Contest Pow Wow. The Wagner Historical Museum will host the 1st Infantry of Fort Randall re-enactment group during the open house.

Library board meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at the library at 4:45. The meeting is open to the public.

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on June 19 at the Post Home with 15 members present. President Alyssa Mathis called the meeting to order. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer.

The Charles Mix County 4-H Junior Leaders Club President for the 2025-2026 season is Emma Kreeger. Emma is the daughter of Chad and Cathy Kreeger and resides in Wagner. Emma has been a part of 4-H for nine years, joining when she was eight years old.

Rotarian Jamie Soukup brought the meeting to order for Jordan Weber on Wednesday, June 18th. Guests were Roger Blaha and Allison Woods courtesy of Rotarian Gerrit Juffer. After reciting the Rotary Prayer Rotarian Gerrit led us in singing one verse of “Roll Rotary.

Pictured are the Wagner Knights of Columbus, Ravinia Fire Department and volunteers cleaning fish from the the annual Cabela's National Team Walleye Championship held at Prairie Dog Bay last weekend, June 19th - 21st. The fish will be used for Ravinia Fish Fry and the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry.

There were many guests that joined the Wagner American Legion and Wagner American Legion Auxiliary at the June supper. The first two recognized guests were Marcella Strand and Brenda Jaton. Marcella has retired from the Modern Woodmen and will no longer be the Wagner area’s representative.

10 YEARS AGO 2015 Andrew Buller and April Soukup announced their engagement. Matthew Lensing and Trevor Fredrich were both awarded the Build Dakota Scholarship. Mount Marty College announced that they would be signing Drue Soukup to their 2015-16 baseball roster.
