Blizzards, tornadoes, and floods are a few of the natural hazards that strike this part of the country. Events like this have the potential of causing thousands of dollars annually in damage to property.

President Jamie Soukup called the Wagner Rotarians to order on Wednesday, February 18th. There was a smaller crowd for the usual Wednesday meeting but in the rain or shine the meeting will go on.

10 YEARS AGO Wagner-Bon Homme gymnasts brought home a third place trophy from the state meet. Former Wagner graduate, Cari Ann (Uecker) Folkens has recently graduated from Mount Marty College with a Family Nurse Practitioner Degree.

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on February 19 at the Post Home with nine members present. The meeting was called to order by Past President Linda Youngbluth. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer.

Sarah G. Swier of Avon, has been named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's College of Arts and Letters for outstanding scholarship during the Fall 2025 semester. Students who achieve dean's honors at Notre Dame represent the top 30 percent of students in their college

From the Files of the Avon Clarion Avon Lady Pirates winning streak came to an end at Gayville this week. Heidi Cap finished the night with 15 points and 20 rebounds. Avon Pirates doubled their winning record after a big win against TDA.

High school seniors and post high school adults, who are enrolled Yankton Sioux Tribe members who are interested in going on to a technical college at Mitchell Technical College, Southeast Technical College or Lake Area Technical College may be eligible to apply.

Wednesday, February 11, 2026, was an enjoyable day for a Rotary meeting. One of our Rotarians was present after being absent for several weeks. It is always good to have everyone present for the meetings and Rotarian Jeff Doom was greeted with a round of applause.

February is American Heart Month - a time to celebrate love, compassion, and the simple acts that save lives. Wagner community members are putting heart into action through blood donation.
