The South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame will be hosting their 14th annual induction ceremony on Sunday, September 22nd in Sioux Falls. Of the 19 inductees of the class of 2024, one of them is long-time referee, Milo Wepking.

10 Years Ago – 2014 Homecoming candidates for King and Queen were announced. Candidates were Amanda Reiff, Shayna Kohl, Randi Hento, Evianna Blaha, Samantha Pfarr, Cole Fillaus, Cody Namminga, Kole Beeson, Jesse Chambers and Logan Mudder.

The First Lutheran Church of Lake Andes will celebrate its 125th anniversary on October 22nd of this year. They will hold a celebration to commemorate this monumental occasion on Friday, November 1st, 2024 with a 10 a.m. service at the church which is located at 205 N. 4th Avenue.

10 Years Ago – 2014 The Andes Central JAG program received school supplies from the National Relief Fund. A card shower was asked for in honor of James Sejnoha’s 90th birthday party.

The Modern Woodmen of America Chapter #17404 has named Connie Kaufman as its 2024 Hometown Hero. Connie grew up in Armour and graduated from Armour High School. What brought Connie to Wagner was becoming employed by the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera.
