LABOR DAY QUEEN CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED

Fall is quickly approaching and with it comes Wagner’s most impressive mobilization of community, the annual Wagner Labor Day celebration. This marks the fifth year that Boys & Girls Club has teamed up with the Labor Day Committee to create a Labor Day Queen Event.

WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Wagner Community School has hired a new third grade teacher and middle school volleyball coach, Paige Petry, for the 20242025 school year. Paige is finishing up her final semester of student teaching at the University of South Dakota. This is also her first year as a teacher.

RAIDERS START THEIR SEASON STRONG WITH A WIN OVER THE CUBS

The boys of fall have returned to action with a 34-8 win over 11B newcomers, the Chamberlain Cubs. The Raiders were lead by Gannon Knebel. Knebel had 140 rushing yards with five touchdowns. Gannon also contributed ten tackles on defense.

LHOTAK TO DEPLOY

Wagner Community School presented an American flag, that was flown at WCS since the first day of classes for the school year 2024-2025 to Jennifer Lhotak who has been activated to deploy to the Middle East the end of this month.

LOCALS CHOSEN TO COMPETE IN ALL STAR TOURNAMENT

August 21st was our annual visit from the District Governor of #5610. This year’s governor was Bruce Nearhood from the Minneapolis area. His wife Kim Nearhood accompanied him, and they were treated to a steak luncheon prepared by our very own Rotarian Scott McAdaragh.
