LINDSEY FAMILY CONCERT AT FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH

The Lindsey Family, a gospel bluegrass group from Kentucky, will be in concert Monday evening, Aug. 5, at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Scotland at 7 p.m. The program is free and open to the public but a freewill offering will be taken for the family.

MENNO PIONEER OPRY AUG. 2

Menno Pioneer Opry will be held Friday evening, Aug. 2. The program at the Menno Pioneer Heritage Ground's large red barn begins at 7 and a potluck finger food lunch will be served at 8 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.

MEIERS AND HUPKE TO WED

Mackenzie Meiers and Jake Hupke are excited to announce their wedding engagement. The wedding is planned for this October, in Sioux Falls. Mackenzie is a 2017 graduate from Avon High School and a 2019 graduate from Lake Area Technical Institute with an associate’s degree in dental assisting.

LIBRARY NEWS

Did you know that the Lake Andes Public Library has puzzles for check out. Many have been donated by patrons who enjoy completing a puzzle. Something to do on these very hot, very humid days to come.

1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN

The library offers a unique program open to all children interested that are not of kindergarten age. The program, 1000 books before kindergarten, allows any child to be read 1000 books before they start kindergarten.
