With the new year fast approaching, the library is planning an incentive program for patrons ages K-5th grade. The library wants our patrons to participate in the South Dakota Children’s Book Awards during 2026.

The Wagner Rotary Club held its last meeting of the year 2025 last Wednesday. There were several members absent with the year winding down and Christmas approaching soon. There were two guests present, courtesy of Amanda Bechen. She brought Judean Irvine and Isaac Wunder to the meeting.

10 YEARS AGO 2015 The Lady Pirates open the basketball season with a win against Gregory. The double header game in Corsica set for this past Tuesday night was postponed because of weather. Representative Lee Qualm was honored at the South Dakota Soybean Association Banquet.

FROM THE From the Files of the Lake Andes Wave 10 YEARS AGO 2015 Andes Central 7-12 band students attended a Madrigal Dinner in Sioux Falls. ACDC Lady Thunder hosted Gregory where they took the win 42-13.

December 10th was our second to last meeting for the year 2025. Jamie Soukup welcomed all the Senior students and asked them to speak about themselves: Senior Justyn Jaton is the son of Brenda and Joey Jaton, and he plans to attend Southeast Vo-Tech in Sioux Falls after graduation.

10 YEARS AGO Joshua Wiechmann and Lindsey Wulf announce the birth of a daughter, Reagan Nicole. Paul and Pearl Wiechmann celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Judith Tuttle and C. Red Allen were united in marriage.

The Annual Christmas Candlelight Choir Service of Zion Lutheran Church of Delmont is scheduled for Sunday evening, December 21st, at 7:00 p.m.
