10 Years Ago - 2016 April showers brought May floods as nearly 4" of rain fell over the past week. Avon 5th and 6th Grade Classes celebrated Arbor Day. Eli Watchorn won the County Wide Arbor Day Essay Contest.

Applications are currently being accepted for Preschool Enrollment at Avon School District for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must be four years of age by August 31. Please return applications by May 29, 2026. The cost for the program is $130 per month.

Kaydence struck out 11 batters as the starter led the Avon Lady Pirates past Viborg/Hurley 14-3 on Friday. Kaydence gave up four hits and three runs over five innings while walking none.
