As husband and wife urologists, we talk a lot about the urinary tract and how it affects our patients. In women, the most common urinary concern is incontinence, or the involuntary leakage of urine. There are several causes and many treatment options exist depending on the type.

Interim Superintendent, Brian Field’s, time with the Avon School District will come to an end this Thursday, June 27th. Field first took the interim superintendent position for Avon on January 2nd of this year.

This past week, Bon Homme County wash it hard with constant rain to the amount of anywhere between 2 and 8 inches of throughout thecounty.This caused several areas to flood and have running water over roads.

During the weeks of June 3-7 and June 10-14, six students from Wagner along with ten other students from the surrounding area gave up two weeks of their summer to attend YMA. YMA is the Yankton Manufacturing Academy hosted at the Regional Technical Education Center, Inc. (RTEC) in Yankton.

JaCee Dvorak was awarded a Dakota Builds Scholarship June 4th. JaCee is the daughter of Boyd and Jenni Dvorak and the granddaughter of Richard and Darlene Dvorak and John and Margret Johnson.

Daniel Soukup was awarded a Dakota Build scholarship this past May. He will be attending Mitchell Technical College going into the electrician program. Daniel is the son of Gene and Laura Soukup and the grandson of Eugene Soukup.

The Fort Randall Casino and Hotel held their 27th Annual Indian Day Celebration Contest Powwow June 21st through June 23rd during their 33rd Anniversary celebration.

This past week, Charles-Mix County was hit hard with constant rain to the tune of 8 – 12 inches. This caused many areas to flood, especially any area that was home to Choteau Creek.

From the files of the Lake Andes Wave 10 Years Ago – 2014 Pickstown held its ribbon cutting ceremony at its museum dedication. Speakers for the event included Tom Brokaw, Col. Joel Cross and Lt. Governor Matt Michels.

The Andes Central Class of 1974 recently gathered to celebrate and reminisce for their 50th class reunion. The class spent time over Fish Days weekend to celebrate this milestone and spend time together. Over 75 percent of the classes 44 graduating seniors attended the event.
