PIERRE – The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) is expanding eligibility for the All Women Count! (AWC!) Program by lowering the minimum age from 30 to 21, allowing more South Dakota women to access breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services.

St. Joseph's Indian School is proud to host its 50th Annual Powwow on Saturday, September 19, on the school's campus in Chamberlain.

Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on August 20 with 23 members and two Sons of the Legion members in attendance. Commander Clayton Rados thanked the evening's cooks for preparing a delicious dinner for 59 persons.We had ten guests in attendance.

Wagner Rotarians were greeted at their weekly Wednesday meeting by a familiar face from last year. President Jamie Soukup was standing in for President Jeff Doom. Soukup welcomed everyone and two guests especially.

Labor Day weekend is just about here and everyone is excited about all of the things there will be to do and people to see. It is also a great time to see how the community has changed since you were last back home.

This past month, the book club of the library read “ Theo of Golden” by Alex Levi. The members were delighted by this novel. It is currently number one on the New York Times Best Sellers List.
