WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS

One of this week’s featured WCS seniors is Bain Kuhlman. He is the son of Jeff and Rhonda Kuhlman. During his high school years at Wagner Community School, Bain has been involved in several extra-curricular activities including chorus (four years), FFA (three years) and football (four years).

5TH AND 6TH GRADERS PUT ON BOOK PARADE AND PRESIDENTIAL WAX MUSEUM

The 5th and 6th graders put on a book parade and Presidential Wax Museum March 19th from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Wagner Community School Auxiliary gym. The 5th graders did a book parade. Each student read a book and then was asked to highlight certain parts of the story and create a book ball.

LOOKING BACK ON LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Back in December, when I gave my annual Budget Address to the state legislature, I told them that we had to remember our core function as the state governments. I told them that we needed to prioritize people, not projects.

“TRUE SELF-CARE”

During our most recent family movie night, we watched one of my favorites: Encanto. At one point in the movie, a character who has been gifted supernatural strength confesses that she fears she will crumble under the weight of all that is expected from her.

One of this week’s featured senior spotlight is Kennedy Kourt. Kennedy is the daughter of Trista and Dustin Kourt. Kennedy has several nicknames including Hollywood, Kenny, and KernDog.
