There was a small group for the April 15th Rotary meeting. There were no guests as it was supposed to be a traditional steak meeting. A “steak meeting” has always been on the agenda at the end of every quarter.

MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS RESPOND TO 265-ACRE FIRE

A grass fire burned approximately 265 acres south of Lake Andes on Thursday, affecting land owned by the Yankton Sioux Tribe, the Soukup family and the Krcil family.According to reports, the fire is believed to have started from a controlled burn conducted a few days earlier.

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on April 16 at the Post Home with 14 members present and 1 member by zoom.President Alyssa Mathis called the meeting to order. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer.
