FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA JULY 28TH

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, July 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. PLEASE NOTE: Proxy pickup (picking up food for someone unable to attend) is allowed with a completed form.

Letter to the editor

I appreciate the people in the Avon area who signed a letter of support for a turn lane on the north side of Avon. This letter was taken to the SD Transportation meeting in Sioux Falls. I was informed the request had been approved.

The Avon Swim Team competed in the James River Valley League Championships on July 13-14 in Platte. The team, which consisted of 58 swimmers ranging from ages 4-18, captured their third straight team champions trophy! Swimmers are holding up the "3" for 3 Peat
