Two hundred and fifty years ago, on July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence. Like the first shot at the Battle of Lexington, the Declaration was heard around the world.

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on June 18 at the Post Home with 14 members present.President Alyssa Mathis called the meeting to order. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Preamble were recited in unison.
