BRENSON RATZLAFF

Brenson Ratzlaff is a Pirate of the Week this week. He is the son of David and Amber Ratzlaff and a brother to Grayson, Dawson, Stella, and Camdon. Brenson is involved in football, basketball, and track.

ALL-STATE CHOIR 2024

On Friday, November 1st four AHS choir members attended the South Dakota All State Choir in Sioux Falls.

MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL FALL CONCERT HELD

Avon Middle School and High School Chorus and Band presented their Fall Concert on Monday evening, November 11 under the direction of Joseph Sexe and Autumn Schultz.

LIBRARY HOLDS STORYTIME SOUTH DAKOTA EVENT

The Lake Andes Public Library held a special Storytime South Dakota Event on Thursday, November 14th. The event featured Mayor Ryan Frederick and Councilman Connor Florey as the special guest readers. The book that was featured was See the Dog: Three Stories About a Cat by author David LaRochelle.

Lately my teenager has been fascinated by medical dramas. Although my “doctor self” is usually rolling my eyes throughout the program, it’s often a good conversation starter. One recent show featured a pregnant woman who experienced one medical crisis after another.

10 Years Ago – 2014 The first snowfall of the year came about and allowed the youth of Wagner some fun playing in the snow. Wagner was awarded a Community Development Block Grant by Governor Daugaard.

WAGNER AREA GROWTH HOSTS STAKEHOLDERS PLANNING EVENT

On the night of Thursday, November 14th, Wagner Area Growth hosted a Stakeholders Planning Event presented by Dakota Resources at the Wagner Theater which they generously donated by the Andershs for the site of the event.

COUNTY REPORTS 76.83% TURNOUT FOR ELECTION

In the Bon Homme County Commissioner race, Leland Tjeerdsma 47% with 286 votes and Edward Van Gerpen 53% with 320 votes. Total votes in this contest was 606. Bon Homme County Precinct reports 76.83% turnout for statewide voters, with 3,058 ballots cast of 3,980 registered voters.
