Funeral services for Georgine Faye Young, 65, were Saturday, June 20 at the Greenwood Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Georgine Young was born on April 24, 1961 to Belva Flying Hawk and David Young. She began her journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Georgine was raised by her maternal grandmother, Lavina Flying Hawk and Ted Flying Hawk. She was raised alongside her sister, Sheri, her brother, Skip, and her cousin Teddi, with whom she shared many memories throughout her life.

Georgine was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose love for her family knew no bonus. She was known for her generous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. No matter the circumstances, Georgine always tried to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or provide comfort to those around her.

Even when faced with disappointment and hurt from others, she continued to see the good in people. Her unwavering faith in God guided her throughout her life and gave her strength, compassion, and forgiveness. Georgine believed in treating others with kindness and carried herself with grace, even during life’s most difficult moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Doyle “Jack” Sully; and her sisters: Sheila Flying Hawk and Brooke Flying Hawk.

She is survived by her brothers: Ronald Sully and Craig “Skip” Sully; sisters: Winona Sully, Cheryl Sully, and Beverly Kettleson; her children: Joshua (Mandi), Alicia, and Bryton; grandchildren: Jamison, Kieradyn, Aryiah, Tatum, Cynthia, Anita Archambeau, Elvin Augustin Flying Hawk, David Reyes Flying Hawk, and Kaleah; great grandchildren: Anyla, Anias, Akieita, Sire, and Nalaya; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, resilience, and generosity that will be remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit, her kindness, and the lessons she shared will remain with us forever.

May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
