A Celebration of Life for Juanita Rose St. Pierre, 74, of Dante, was held on Thursday, May 21 at the Greenwood Community Center in Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Juanita Rose St. Pierre was born on April 19, 1952 to Marie (Powers) and Henry St.Pierre at the Wagner Indian Health Center. Juanita died Friday, May 15, 2026 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Juanita attended the school house near Choteau Creek. She attended a few schools in Omaha when she and her parents moved there during the Indian Relocation Act. She met her husband Godwin Weston in Omaha in 1977. They later on shared three daughters named Henrietta, Gwyn and Devin. They also had eleven grandchildren named: Amari Venus, Dalynn, Aden, Embree, Trevin, Andrew, Glen, Leighoni, Cashmere, Eli and Corey. They were proud great grandparents of Rosalina, Henry and Ella (May May).

Juanita spent most of her life being a stay at home mother to her three daughters and eventually with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her brother Tyrone St.Pierre.

She was preceded in death by her husband Godwin Weston, parents, aunties, uncles, cousins and niece Christine St.Pierre.
