Funeral services for Wilbur Slaba will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 28 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors.

Norma Jean Horner, 85, of Wagner died Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, March 4 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 16, at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Lillian Burfeindt, 98, of Avon, were held Monday, March, 11, at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon. Peters Funeral Chapel in Avon was in charge of arrangements. Lillian (Hieb) Burfeindt was born January 16, 1926 on a farm north of Avon.

Allen Raymond Rehurek, age 70 of Tyndall, passed away, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. Funeral service was held Monday, March 11 at United Methodist Church in Tyndall. Interment was in the Tyndall Cemetery.

Charles John “Chuck” “Papa” Schmith, 84 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services were held March 6 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Scott Squires officiating.

Funeral Services for Joseph Kirwan, age 77, of Gregory, were held Saturday, March 9 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Gregory, with Father Jonathan Dillon as Celebrant. Joseph Dennis Kirwan was born June 10, 1946, in Gregory to G.R. (Gerald Robert) and Margaret Viola (Turgeon) Kirwan.

Visitation for Betty J. Honomichl, 90, of Tyndall will be Saturday, March 9 from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Inurnment will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
