ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I recently heard from a column reader who wanted to see more about guns in this column. Because I know that not everyone cares about guns, I’ll write about this fascination in moderation although I think that most everyone will find today’s column interesting.

I can’t believe this is happening. “No person may be discriminated against for refusal to accept an unwanted medical intervention, …” Sounds reasonable. It didn’t pass. But this letter isn’t about HB 1235. This letter is about something that happened recently.

SDSU FOOD ACCESS SURVEY

SDSU Extension has partnered with professionals at SDSU to conduct an anonymous survey examining food access and related food issues among adults in South Dakota. This research is critical in helping us to identify needs and how they can be met by Feeding South Dakota and other local organizations.

Library news

With the gradual opening of businesses and government services across the state the libraries across the state are working toward that goal. Our opening date depends on being able to secure hand sanitizer which we will require everyone to use as they enter the building and again when they leave.

To the Editor I have read recent Letters to the Editor with some amusement as a handful of healthcare providers have tried to make an argument against Lee Qualm for Senator from District 21. Their argument is based on one failed bill, HB 1235. Yes, it failed in committee and is nonexistent.

Earlier this week Betsy and I drove to Mitchell to visit with some dear friends. We met in their backyard, maintained a safe distance, and enjoyed a splendid reunion. We ordered a carryout pizza from Little Caesar’s for lunch.
