Redfield celebrated the 100th anniversary of South Dakota’s first official pheasant hunt with a big party last week. Hundreds of men and women marched the cornfields of Spink County and then gathered for a prime rib dinner and some wonderful storytelling.

Both Betsy, my wife, and I were once registered Democrats. I voted for Kennedy, and I admired his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis and well as his opposition to involvement in Viet Nam. We felt we were the party of the people as opposed to big business.
The welcome was given by President Pro Tempore Bryan Slaba on Wednesday, November 13th. Pastor Bill Heermann was asked to offer up a prayer. Pastor gave thanks for the beautiful day and was grateful that we were gathered as Rotarians and asked for guidance going about our workday.
