TO STRAIGHTEN THE BENT BONES OF CHILDREN

Starting sometime in the middle ages, throughout many lands, there were “bone-setters” who knew about splinting, how to treat broken bones with splints made from sticks, leather and clay.

Mobridge. Madison. Tripp. Rapid City. Bryant. Rosholt. Huron. Watertown. The common thread between these communities? Nursing home closures. In all, 19 nursing home facilities around our state have closed their doors in recent years.

PROVERBS 17:10 "A reproof entereth into a wise man that a hundred stripes into a fool." (KJV) This scripture is talking about the council of those who are possibly thinking about their faith being not so strong.

FEARING DEATH CAN CAUSE SUFFERING

When in life does one come to confront the tough truth that each of us will eventually die? In my years as an internist caring for young and old alike, some people understand this early, and some people never get it. In denying death, we intensify our fear of it.

GETTING ON IN YEARS? LET HER RIP!

If life were a round of golf, I’d be putting on the 17th green. But you know what? That 18th hole could be very interesting with a dogleg, sand traps, trees, water, and a sloping green.
