GOVERNOR KRISTI NOEM ON EXPANDING BROADBAND

I’ve heard it said that 65 percent of children in elementary school today will work in jobs that don’t yet exist. These jobs of the future – the jobs our children will depend on to support families of their own – will almost certainly require access to technology, particularly the internet.

This last week, thousands of individuals traveled from across the country to march on our nation’s capital. But the March for Life is different compared to others we normally see in Washington. People march for the unborn – those without a voice and those who deserve protection.

THE PERFECT STORM

On January 7, the IRS confirmed in a news release that filing season will start on time – January 28 – and that it will be issuing refunds. The IRS also announced that it will recall a significant portion of its workforce, currently furloughed as part of the government shutdown.

President Jerry Weber presided over the regular Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 noontime meeting of the Wagner Rotary Club. Rotarian Francis Doom led the group for the meal prayer. Kathe Henke led the singing of the Rotary song, “America the Beautiful” and guest Kristina Ymker played the piano.
