Rog's Rod & Nimrod Around my home Wagner area, I did not hear any glowing reports about the pheasant opener on October 20th. I actually heard some miserable reports.

Weather Watch During the summers of the mid-fifties, from the time I was a 6th grader until high school graduation when I had to get a job, Dad took my brother John and me on camping/ fishing expeditions into remote Canadian lakes. We never saw another fisherman.

Weather Watch Tuesday, October 23rd has finally arrived and now it is gone. That date has been circled on my calendar for a long time as the day I will have surgery for cataracts. I’ll let you know how it went next week. Should they even call it surgery?

Over the past few months, Linda and I have been getting ready to turn the Governor’s Mansion over to its next occupants. We’ve been working with state maintenance crews to replace light bulbs, repaint rooms, clean out the drains, and make other small improvements.
