LATISHA NEAL

Latisha Neal, 37, died Thursday, September 18, 2026 at her home in Sioux Falls. Native American Church services were Monday, September 28 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was at the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Latisha was born on January 31, 1989, to Henrietta Bruguier and Mike Neal Sr. at Fort Defiance Indian Hospital in Fort Defiance, Arizona. She grew up on the Yankton Sioux Reservation and partly in Navajo, New Mexico. She attended school at Andes Central and later, Marty Indian School, where she graduated in 2007.

She lived with her mother, Henrietta, until Henrietta passed away. She then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and while there, she was blessed with a son, Cameron Joel Neal. She moved back to Lake Andes with her son for a short time, and then she moved to Sioux Falls where she passed away.

Latisha leaves to mourn one sister, Megan; five brothers: Mikey, Vance, Quentino, Quentono, and Dion; her son: Cameron; and many friends, relatives and family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.

Latisha will be missed but remembered for her contagious laughter, her kindness and love towards everyone, and her big smile.
