Monday, June 27 Avon’s 18U Softball Team traveled to Parkston for a double header. Parkston scored 3 in the third while Avon managed to get a run across in the sixth but it wasn’t enough as Parkston won 3-1. Sam Brodeen, Reece Loewe, Lydia Yost, and Emma Yost each singled in the game.
On Monday, June 27, the teeners traveled to Salem where Wagner would come away with two wins on the night. The 14U team were 4-3 victors in their game as they were led by the pitching of Brady Cournoyer.

Tuesday, June 14 Avon’s 18U Softball Team traveled to Menno for a doubleheader. In game one Avon got out to an early lead and held Menno down the stretch for a 6-3 victory. Avon was led at the plate by Katie Gretschmann who had 2 hits, hit by pitch twice, a stolen base, 2 runs scored, and a RBI.
WEE PEES
The 2022 Wee Pee Baseball season has now ended. The boys did such an amazing job this year with so many improvements and gains. We officially ended our season this Saturday, June 25th in Avon, as we hosted 14 teams from neighboring towns at the Avon ball fields.
The Avon Swim Team traveled to O'Neill Saturday to participate in the Mid Season Qualifier.
Coach Becky Haenfler commented on the teams season so far saying, "We had a slow start to the season, due to weather and cold water temps.
