The Wagner Volleyball team hosted the AC/DC Thunder on Thursday, October 16th. The Lady Raiders came out ready to play and swept the Thunder with scores of 25-6, 25-11, and 25-18.
The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Parkston to take on the Trojans in the Annual Dig Pink Match. Both teams battled and pushed the match into 5 sets. Wagner came up short with scores of 23-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20, and 4-15.
The Avon Lady Pirates came out strong Tuesday, October 14, sweeping Viborg/Hurley 3-0. Kaydence Metzger led from the service line with 4 ace serves, while Brielle Voigt added 3 more. At the net, Rilyn Thury powered through with 16 kills and Metzger followed with 10.
The Avon Lady Pirates traveled to Centerville on Thursday, October 16, where they fought through a five-set thriller to claim a 3-2 victory. Rilyn Thury had a standout night, powering the offense with 28 kills while also recording 29 digs and one ace serve.
The number of pheasants harvested by resident and non-resident hunters in South Dakota has increased gradually since 2017.
More than 1.3 million pheasants were bagged by hunters in 2024, the highest since 2012, when hunters collected more than 1.4 million.
This year’s pheasant season has some big shoes to fill, and the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department says it just might. The pheasant season, which runs from Oct. 18 to Jan.
