BUZZER BEATER LIFTS WINNER OVER WAGNER

The Wagner Boys Basketball team lost a heartbreaker to the Winner Warriors Friday night to open their season. The Warriors made a shot as time expired in overtime to defeat Wagner 51-49. The game was close from start to finish, neither team held more than a 7 point lead.

LADY RAIDERS HOST WINNER WARRIORS IN HOME OPENER

The Lady Raiders hosted the Winner Warriors in girls basketball action last Friday night in Wagner. Wagner would start on a roll with a 21-6 advantage after the first quarter and increase their lead to 39-15 at the half.

The Avon boys’ basketball team has a new head coach this season, Marshall Faulkner. Coach Faulkner is assisted by Coach Dan Fathke. Faulkner been a coach for two years. This year’s team has a good mix of both upper and underclassmen.
