AVON PIRATES DEFEAT THE COLOME COWBOYS 73-63

It was a fast paced game between Avon Pirates and the Colome Cowboys Thursday night and as the final buzzer sounded, Avon took the win 73-63. Landon Thury and Aziah Meyer led on the scoreboard with 22 points each.

AVON MUSIC DEPARTMENT SPRING CONCERT DATE CHANGE

The Avon Music Department had to change the date of their Spring Concert due to getting the gym prepped for Prom. The original date was March 21st, but it has been changed to March 18th.

PIRATES END 2023 WITH WIN OVER COLOME 66-14

Avon hosted Colome Thursday, December 21st where the Lady Pirates dominated the evening taking the win 66-14. Leading the scoreboard was Courtney Sees with 28 points, Rilyn Thury had 16 and McKenna Kocmich added 6 Sees and Kaeli Wallinga each pulled down 3 rebounds for the night.

THUNDER TAKES LOSS AGAINST CENTERVILLE

ACDC 6 12 20 32 Cent. 5 16 29 42 Andes Central/ Dakota Christian hosted Centerville December 21st at Dakota Christian where they suffered the tough loss 32-42. Leading the scoring was Halle Olson and Josie Brouwer each with 10.

WAGNER BOYS BASKETBALL TRAVELS TO MENNO

The Wagner boys basketball team played in Menno Tuesday night. The Raiders started off hot outscoring the Wolves 18-5 in the first period. Wagner was consistent in the first half, putting up 18 in the second quarter also and led 36-13 at the half.

WAGNER BOYS BASKETBALL FALLS TO ETHAN

The Wagner Boys Basketball Team took on Ethan on Thursday night at Wagner. The boys started off string leading 14-9 after the first period and 32-22 at the half. Ethan opened up the second half on a 5-0 run and eventually took a 41-36 lead into the fourth quarter.

VOLLEYBALL POSTSEASON SUPPER HELD

Wagner Volleyball team held their postseason supper where postseason award winners were voted on by their teammates. Award winners are: Most Improved: Ravyn Medricky Hardest Worker: Macy Koupal Most Valuable Player: Ashlyn Koupal Congratulation ladies on a great season!

WAGNER FALLS TO ETHAN

The Lady Raiders hosted the Ethan Rustlers last Thursday night in girls basketball action. Wagner started off quick again holding a 10-5 edge midway through the first period but Ethan converted twice from behind the arc to take a 11-10 lead.
