Due to weather conditions the Raiders were not able to compete Thursday Dec. 15th against Vermillion for parents night. We are currently looking into rescheduling the dual on a different date but haven’t found a sure date yet. I will keep everyone posted on a new date If it works out to reschedule. Despite not having school Wednesday through Friday we were still able to attend the Elk Point Jefferson Huskie invitational on Saturday. We knew going into the tournament it would be a challenge due to the lack of practice during the week but the guys fought through the best they could and managed to put together a respectable tournament. We are now off from competition until Dec 29th where we’ll attend the Sioux falls Lincoln wrestling tournament.

We did a great job on the glass and defensively we challenged a lot of their shots with our length and athleticism. We had great ball movement that got us great transition looks and then some excellent looks in the half court as well. A huge thank you to So-Co Pioneer for sponsoring our team meal for our season opener. One last note, a huge shout out to Coach Aaker and the Winner Warriors Girls Basketball team! Not sure everyone stuck around 10 minutes after the boys game but they cleaned the entire gym from top to bottom picking up all the trash in the bleachers! So a huge thank you to them and what a great idea to pay it forward when we hit the road next week to Irene!”
