Jeanne Ann Soulek, 85, went to her heavenly home Saturday, May 25 at the Good Samaritan Center in Corsica. Funeral mas was held May 31 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Jeanne was born March 15, 1939 to Paul and Lucille (Noziska) Connot in Spencer, NE. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School in O’Neill, NE before graduating from Pickstown High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Richard Thomas Soulek August 7, 1957 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. The couple lived and farmed near Armour where they raised their five children. Jeanne was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church where she also taught CCD and was a member of the Altar Society. Early in their marriage, they enjoyed traveling in Europe and the past 40 years traveling across the United States. She was a member of the Pickstown Square Dance Club and enjoyed playing pinochle, knitting, crocheting, baking and sewing. She also volunteered at the Armour nursing home playing bingo with the residents and was a “professional baby holder”.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Richard of Armour; four children: Daniel (Jonna) Soulek of Armour; Patricia (Ken) Cerny of Gregory; Dennis “Joe” (Norma) Soulek of Armour; and Richard “Rick” (Lynn) Soulek of Rapid City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Pauline (Roger) Waldo of O’Neill; Edward (Sue) Connot of Spencer; and Debbie (Rodney) Ludemann of Lynch, NE; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Connot of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandy Soulek; grandson, Tyler Soulek; brother, Raymond Connot; mother-in-law, Myrtle Soulek and fathers-in-law, Thomas Soulek and Alvin Kost.
