NANCY MEYER

Nancy Meyer, age 68, of Toronto, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 as result of a car accident. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20th at Leganger Lutheran Church in Toronto. Burial will be at the Toronto City Cemetery. Houseman Funeral Home of Clear Lake, is entrusted with the arrangements.

Nancy Lue Meyer was born September 16, 1955 to Glenn and Helena (Novak) Leasure in Lake Andes. She was raised and attended school in Lake Andes and graduated from Lake Andes High School.

Nancy was united in marriage to Robert C. Meyer June 15, 1974 in White. Following their marriage they lived in Menno before moving to Toronto where they raised their family. Nancy worked various jobs throughout her life from Tec Ord to the local nursing homes and various restaurants and bars. She had also cleaned for many families in the area.

She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores. Her pets brought years of joy but not nearly as much joy as her children and grandchildren did. Spending time with family and friends was very important to Nancy.

She was a member of the Leganger Lutheran Church where she was active for many years.

Nancy is lovingly remembered by her three children: Cody Meyer, Minneota, MN, Ken Meyer, Watertown, and Danielle (Brady) Nosbush, Gary; three grandchildren: Skylar Platt, Landon Jacob and Whitney Meyer; brother- in-law, Jim Meyer and Don Carlson; sister-in-law, Sherry Leasure and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; mother and father-inlaw; brother, Ron Leasure; sisters, Linda Carlson and MaryAnn (Vince) Gates; sisters-in-law: Donna Meyer and Patty Meyer, and aunts and uncles.
