RICHARD DVORAK

Funeral services for Richard A. Dvorak, 83, of Lake Andes were held Thursday, June 6 at the First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lake Andes. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Richard A. Dvorak was born December 27, 1941 to James V. And Antonia (Kisley) Dvorak on the family farm outside of Lake Andes. He passed away at his home on the farm in Lake Andes, surrounded by his family on June 2.
Richard attended Ravinia High School and later went into farming with his dad and brother, Ernie. Farming was a great passion for Richard. It was his way of life and how he provided for his family while honoring his heritage.
Richard was united in marriage to Leatha Reinschmidt at the First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes on July 9, 1966.
Richard will be remembered for his love of polka music, especially Mollie B; listening to WNAX trading post, enjoying a pop at the casino, and teasing his family, particularly Leatha and the great grandkids.
Thankful for having shared his life are his wife Leatha; son Michael (Kristin) Dvorak, and daughter Michelle (Michael) Wentland, all of Lake Andes; grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Darlene Wuest of Lodi, CA and Jeanice (Gene) Anderson of Mitchell; brother-in-law Kevin (Norma) Reinschmidt of Boise, ID; three sistersin- law: Charlotte Dvorak of Wagner, Linda Krcil of Avon and Lanna Mathews of Sheridan, WY; and many other family members.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ernie and Robert E.; two brothers-in-law: Paul Wuest and Frank Krcil; and parents-in-law: Curly Reinschmidt and Colleen (Reinschmidt) Wiechmann.
