MEET AVON'S NEW POLICE CHIEF:

The City of Avon has welcomed a new face as Justin Hidinger recently began his duties as Avon Police Chief. Hidinger is looking forward to serving the community and building relationships with residents as he starts his law enforcement career.

4-H HORSE POWER CLUB HORSE JUDING CLINIC HELD

The Bon Homme County 4-H Horse Power Club hosted a horse judging clinic on May 27th at the 7-N Arena in Springfield. Chelsea Sallach from Ewing, NE judged the event. They had33 participants attend who judged a confirmation class and three performance classes.

BON HOMME COUNTY HORSE SHOW WILL BE HELD

Bon Homme County 4-H horse members will be participating in the 2026 Bon Homme & Charles Mix County Horse Show at the Springfield 7-N Arena, located at 31164 Equal Rights Road, Springfield. This is a combined county show. Registration will start at 9 a.m. with the show to start at 9:30 a.m.

SWIER NAMED TO DEAN'S LIST

Sarah G. Swier of Avon, has been named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's College of Arts and Letters for outstanding scholarship during the Spring 2026 semester.Students who achieve dean's list honors at Notre Dame represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.
