The annual Cancer Walk Rummage Sale was held June 17-19, with community members once again coming together to support a worthwhile cause. Donations were accepted June 15 and 16 and were sorted and organized by volunteers in preparation for the sale.

STATE FINALS MARK SUCCESSFUL SEASON FOR KRCIL

Frank Krcil earned a spot at the South Dakota High School Rodeo State Finals after qualifying in bull riding on June 16 in Fort Pierre.Competing against some of the state's top rodeo athletes, Krcil advanced to the Championship Round during the State Finals on June 20.

Hot nights. Bright lights. And a community that showed up and absolutely delivered! At the most recent Wagner Community Blood Drive, the energy was electric and so were the results: 32 units of blood collected from 28 donors enough to light up the lives of up to 96 local patients.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on June 18 with 30 members and 3 SAL members in attendance. John Crisman was the winner of the queen of hearts drawing but drew the 4 of spades. Commander Rados thanked tonight’s cooks for the delicious dinner. Four guests were in attendance.

LAKE ANDES WINS 2026 FISH DAYS WATER FIGHT

The Lake Andes Fire Department earned top honors during the annual Firefighters Water Fight held as part of the 2026 Fish Days celebration. Teams from several area communities took part in the friendly competition, which remains a popular Fish Days tradition for both participants and spectators.
