Dorothy Dixon, 88 of Wagner, was born in Dante on November 10, 1936, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Mary (Konfrst) Krcil. She died Monday, September 29 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall. Dorothy attended country school through the 8th grade west of Dante.

Funeral Services are 2 p.m., Thursday, October 9, at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Dante, with military honors. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. followed by a Rosary/ Scripture Wake Service at 7 p.m.

David Richard Martin, age 73, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, October 4, at Madison Regional Health System. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10 at the Ellsworth Funeral Home.

Charon Virginia Asetoyer, 74, of Lake Andes died Friday, September 26th at the Sanford Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were held at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes and performed by the Native American Church, Willard Bruguier, officiating.

Patricia Ann Buus, 79, passed away peacefully on August 20th at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. She was born on May 9th, 1946, and grew up on the family farm in Wagner, surrounded by her eight siblings.

Ruth M. Sejnoha, 97, of Humboldt, Nebraska, formerly of Mitchell, passed away on Friday, September 12th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to an organization of your choice to honor Ruth.

Marlene Mae Stepka died on September 13, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Tyndall at the age of 84 years. Visitation will be held 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary and wake service Thursday, September 18, at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tyndall.

Visitation for Marcleen Wynia, 91, of Springfield will be Tuesday, September 9 from 1-2 p.m. at Peters Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Burial will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery, rural Springfield.

Funeral services for James Mutschelknaus, 75, of Black Hawk will be held Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m., at Martinus Lutheran Church, rural Utica. The burial is at Garden of Memories in Yankton. Following the burial will be fellowship at Martinus.

Graveside services for Larry Schacht, 89, of Pickstown will be held Friday, September 12 at 3 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Andes, with military honors. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.
