E.J. Kaden Sunny Johnson and I’vonne Joseph Lee Johnson, twin sons of Emma Hopkins and Levi Johnson were stillborn on Monday, October 20 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Native American Church Services were held at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes on Thursday, October 23.

Funeral services for La-Verne Andersh, 95, of Sioux Falls, were held on Monday, October 13 at the Wagner United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Wagner Cemetery in rural Wagner with military honors. LaVerne passed away peacefully at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls on October 7.

Evelyn Dvorak (Hawley) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 16 at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Evelyn Dvorak was born October 18,1934 and raised on a farm near Ravinia along with two brothers: Robert (deceased) and Richard (Darlene).

Stephen Rezac, 82 of Sioux Falls, passed away with family at his side on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Dougherty Hospice House. A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, October 15 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at St. Michael Cemetery.

Myron Lee Pudwill, 86, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on October 7, 2025, at Cedar Creek Memory Care. He was born on March 23, 1939, in Avon to Otto and Ella (Johnson) Pudwill. Myron attended public school in Avon and graduated from high school in 1957.

Richard Ralph Pier, 68, of Avon, passed away unexpectedly, following a brief illness, at his home in Avon on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at age 68. He was born on August 2, 1957, in Tyndall, to Dick and Helen Pier (née McKenzie).

Donald D. Berndt, age 92, of Canby, MN, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Canby with Rev. Jeff Cooper officiating.

Edwin John Bruner, 98, of Lake Andes, went to his heavenly home Monday, October 6 at Lake Andes Healthcare Center. Memorial mass was be Tuesday, October 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes. Visitation will be Monday, October 13 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Pamela Cwach, age 73, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, October 7, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler, Minnesota. Memorial Services were Sunday, October 12 at Living Word Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Interment was Monday, October 13 in the Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Andes.

We were so blessed to live in a community that supported us when Mya was born with her many health complications, and we are still blessed with the same community when we are laying her to rest.
